Inhibitors of the influenza virus endocytosis

Savira’s co-founder onepharm has identified the anti-influenza mode of action of the naturally occurring triterpenoid glycyrrhizin which is based on its ability to block viral entry at the host cell membrane level. onepharm as the industrial lead of the research association Vienna Antiviral Spot of Excellence (ASPEX) and ASPEX researchers have identified novel derivatives of glycyrrhizin with enhanced anti-influenza activity.
Savira will further investigate the antiviral potential of these triterpenoid derivatives.
